We submitted College Board May of DC's freshman year to get accommodations in place before fall of sophomore year PSATs, plus DC was taking one AP class sophomore year. His most recent evaluation was January of his 8th grade year and it fell within the guidelines (some are within 5 years some are within 3 years). He has multiple LDs and AHDH. We received everything was asked in a very timely manner (within a month of submission). May might be a good time since submission for that school year would have already been done and people might not be thinking about fall of the next quite yet. For whatever reason, we did OT have to wait very long at all, which was a welcome change to nearly everything else we have encountered regarding DC's issues.

Also be prepared to do one senior year for college accomodations (not applications).

It is best to have your school submit the request and documentation rather than doing it yourself.

Just make sure you stay on the school to ensure that they follow through and ask for the right things.

It is a long process for some and a relatively painless process for others. It depends on the severity of your DC's issues, their longevity and what the most recent evaluation says.

I would send it all in now and see what you get back. Yes, they usually like to see testing done within three years but you are close. Try that route first. They may come back with a request for more recent testing. Then be prepared for them to reject you and you will then appeal. It's just a long process.

You will need testing to be no more than 3 years old when you submit the request.

So unless your child will be sitting for the exams this year, or maybe next fall, yes.

But you will also probably need an updated evaluation to keep his/her IEP in place for the last year of high school, depending on when the last triennial review was.
