My boss has a beach house that they use as a vacation home near Kill Devil Hills. When his son was in college, he lived in OBX and worked construction. Even leaving before 6 AM, it was a lot of traffic and a long ride from KDH to Corolla. But, OP, I'd highly recommend Currituck Lighthouse, as someone else has already suggested. [/quote]
