If you think you might move or go private I'd consider holding. At my kids school MOST of the summer birthdays are held, such that there are only ~2 (always girl) summer birthdays that go on time. My kid is late spring and seems fairly young for her grade - I can't imagine a late Dec birthday in that grade. My other child has a Dec birthday with a 9/1 cutoff and is still middle of the road - lots of her friends are a good 5-6 months older. So if your child would come to her grade in a few years she would be a full 18 months younger than a significant percentage of her classmates.[/quote]
