Yes, I know.  It's one of the few things I don't like about the board, but I understand that my choice is to stay or leave.   I'm just putting a plug in to allow people to voice their opinions, even when they are silly and/or offensive.  I tend to think that the posts that come after that call OPs like this out are a better way to handle this than to delete the thread.  But....I am not about to start my own site so I get how little my opinion matters![/quote]

Unfortunately, an entirely hands-off approach to anonymous postings at any scale larger than a few users simply doesn't work. Offensive posts drive away the more thoughtful users who simply aren't interested in wading through garbage and all that's left are the offensive posters in the end. While most people can understand this, there is disagreement as to where the line should be drawn. In the case of DCUM, I draw the line. There are other ways that it could be done, but people would disagree with those as well. So, we just keep things simple.
