Assuming the kids are agnostic on which sport is their favorite (right now, if i were to ask my daughter she would say "trapeze"), is there any sport that would help them get a bit of an edge in private high school admissions? We will be engaging in sports anyway, to learn teamwork and stay healthy, but am wondering if there is any advantage, from a private high-school admissions standpoint, of focusing on one sport over another.

I am not set on "Big 3" but am just using this as a starting point. I have not fully investigated private schools yet, but would be looking for something that is not single sex, has advanced foreign language options, and that is possible to get to from Capitol Hill.

Any suggestions, most appreciated.
