They're probably giving you progesterone post ovulation to extend your luteal phase? Some doctors give clinic at the same time to "enhance" ovulation. I only took progesterone and ended up pregnant.

How long is your luteal phase?

What do you mean by low egg count? Low AMH/diminished ovarian reserve?
