When my kids were 10-12 and would use the "everyone" argument, I would always ask for specific names. Usually "everyone" meant 2-4 other kids, or several of the perceived popular kids. Not everyone and not all. Maybe a compromise would be to youtube some of the funnier and more age appropriate scenes and let her watch those so she has a a bit to talk about or can get some of the references. I have a friend who did that with their kindergartner for the new Star Wars movie. He can talk about the characters and spaceships but hasn't seen the actual movie.[/quote]
