Ugly sweaters are a thing too, so I assume that ugly Christmas sweaters are also a thing, although probably not for six-year-olds. In any case, even if the principal's letter doesn't/didn't say Christmas, I think that everybody knows what "holiday" and "winter holiday" mean -- which is why I've always been amused by the outrage about "happy holidays".[/quote]
