If you are playing with someone, the partner should know about it. I prefer details, she doesn't. In fact, she assumes if I am going out with someone, there is likely to be sex involved. 
You should keep in mind that most people don't have on-going sex. Most partners are a time or two with an occasional triste going on for a few months. That's normal. Few people click sexually for the long term. You might also be surprised to find out that the presence of outside sexual partners tends to increase the libidio in the non-participating partners.
