My 8 year old's arms get a bluish tinge when she's cold. I saw this once when I was at her school. It was 60 degrees or so, and the other kids were in shorts and T-shirts, running around, not cold. My daughter was shivering and in spite of having a sweat shirt on, had a blue tinge to her arms. I'm wondering if I should get her heart checked out?
My 9 year old also turns blue, specially during swim practice. Usually after 30m in the water and it's mostly blue lips and around the lips. It's scary, but the ped didn't seem concerned about it.
