OP again, with some follow-up questions. Someone above posted about the final cost through MD-IPA being $4500. I thought it paid half, and someone else said it was 12-something at full price. Did you get a discount? Otherwise, if MD-IPA, Kaiser (both standard and high), and Aetna (both basic and high) all cover 50%, I am looking at roughly $6,000 without ICSI/PGS or meds? Is that right? And half of $17,500 so $8750 for the multi-cycle under these insurances? Am I right that the insurances cover ICSI (but not PGS or freezing, I know)? Thanks again.
I am the MD IPA poster. They have a negotiated rate with Shady Grove, so it will be differ from the prices without insurance. Without the embryo biopsy ( but with IVF, ICSI and assisted hatching) it was $3000+. Copay for meds was another $300 or so. The biopsy and cryopreservation fees are not covered and were $1500 and $1800 OOP per cycle. PGS is also not covered. The multi-cycle is not covered by insurance. It is designed for those paying out of pocket. With Aetna the medications are vastly more expensive.
