There is a 2 package that you can buy out of pocket. It includes freezing of any blasts and up to a year storage. With ICSI it comes to around 17 something. As opposed to just one cycle of IVF which is around 12 (I think, don't quote me on this). There is the program you can apply for which depending on income will take a small percentage off. In my case it was 5% so I paid 16 something for the 2 cycles. In terms of meds there is also IVF Greenlight which has no income requirements (versus compassionate care). The pharmacy was really kind and told me the compassionate care price versus the IVF Greenlight price and Greenlight in my case was cheaper (Greenlight uses generic drugs). I belong to an infertility support group and some of the ladies donated meds to me. Also, Shady Grove Pharmacy used to take returns on unused meds (they stopped this recently) so I was really able to save in this regards. With the Greenlight program, donated meds and the return policy I only spent around 2000 (versus around 5400). And I was on a low dose protocol and only stimmed for around 9 days. Some of the "non fertility" drugs like the birth control, antibiotic and progesterone inserts were completely covered by Carefirst Bue Shields my insurance.
