I was also SO excited for like a year before it came out, because we had bought a house last year that we have been gutting this year. We did an ikea kitchen in 2011 and were really pleased.  But I was really disappointed that the "new" kitchen was a bunch of customizable features - like drawers within drawers -- but that the kitchen itself is exactly the same as the kitchen they've been selling since 2000.  Even the cabinet door fronts. I couldn't care less about drawers in drawers, and being able to do 6 drawers in a base cabinet, instead of the standard 3. Those are fun, but not going to sell someone on a kitchen.

We are still using ikea because the price is so good and my husband really likes the white gloss cabs (we used them in 2011 too). I like them too, but was hoping for something a big newer and interesting.  We are going to customize with some walnut front cab doors on our island from semihandmade. [/quote]
