Anyone here follow their family on facebook?  I started following their story about 2 years ago, probably a year after the accident happened.  I have a little boy about Tripp's age, and with every one of Stacy's posts, I imagine my family in their situation.  I'm pretty sure I'd never be able to be as active and positive as they are.  Stacy acknowledges she cries every day, but still they amaze me every single day with their positive outlook and lack of complaining.  That little boy's smiles break my heart and I always wonder how much he'll recover and what their lives will be 5, 10, 20 years from now.

When I started following them, my little boy loved Lightening McQueen (from Cars) too.  Since that time, he's gone through several more phases, Monsters, Minions, TMNT, etc. and I always wonder if Tripp is "over" Cars too, but doesn't have a way to communicate that to his family.  Sometimes I want to message that to Stacy, but I wonder if that would be too rude and presumptuous.

Anyway, as I sat here this morning, feeling moody and sorry for myself, I saw an update from Stacy that reminded me how I have nothing to complain about, because compared to Tripp, my son is in perfect mental and physical health.  Then I clicked on the DCUM thread about the mom having a hard time after witnessing a drowning, and the mean responses about how it wasn't her kid, so why take it so personally.  It made me wonder if anyone here is as touched by the Halstead family as I am.[/quote]
