I didn't realize the cause of Tripp's injuries. Sad. Was it abuse or just a horrible accident?
Her posts definitely allow me to keep perspective.
It was a freak accident. He was playing at preschool and a dead branch from a tree that over hung the play ground broke off and fell on his head. First thing I did when my kids joined their preschool was walk the playground looking up to make sure there were no large dead branches.
I don't believe the family sued anyone. They knew it was a freak accident and are just moving past it and living their new life.

OP here, I did exactly the same thing! I chastised myself later because if not a tree limb, then a flag pole, or a ... the list could go on. A pp got it right, life can turn on a dime, even if we do everything "right". Glad to hear there are other followers that relate as much as I do!

I have also had my eyes opened up to the daily life of a Jehovah's Witness family. She is the first that I have encountered beyond the missionaries at my front door.
