To get into a top tier school you should be driven. Not driven by your mother, you know?? Your kid needs to look at a list of what's available at her school and pick stuff that interests her. Or, use what exists as springboards to create extras that interest her. My son didn't want to be in band, but he's a drummer and plays the piano. He did the music for the school plays for four years plus he did student gov't. My DD started a peer mediation/resolution program at her school. [/quote]
