The year I had 5 sinus infections in one year my primary doctor sent me to an allergist. The allergist said "I going to cure you." I thought "what a quack." Well, here we are 10 years later and I have not had a single infection requiring antibiotics since I started with allergy shots. It really is like a miracle to me. (Allergy testing showed I was allergic to just about everything).
16:56 here. Exactly what happened to me. Primary care docs and ENT will run blood tests for allergies. These blood tests are not very sensitive and can come back with false negatives. The tests allergist run are much more accurate. Do not let someone tell you you don't have allergies based on a blood test. 18:44 -An allergist specializes in allergies and asthma. ENT's are Ear Nose and Throat Specialists.
