[/quote] That was only true for a very small percentage of granite that came from certain quarries. It is not true for most granite. These days the fabricators and suppliers are supposed to check to verify it is radon-free. I cannot prove that they really do that. If there's a question, it's not hard to check household radon levels after the counters are installed but the problem was quite rare.[/quote]
