The JCC camps provide transportation, supervision, and other things to students while they volunteer.  So, yes, you have to pay for those things.

MCPS requires students to volunteer 75 hours by the end of high school.  It's pretty disgusting that the JCC would profit by charging kids to volunteer. If they were really interested in kids volunteering this would be set up so kids could simply volunteer for free.  MCPS should investigate this.[/quote][/b]

Actually, I think it's pretty disgusting that you expect someone else to arrange volunteer opportunities for your kid and transport them there for free. No one is making you go with the JCC. If anyone doesn't like the cost, they can arrange their own plans. [/quote]
