I was barely 9 when I saw the movie the first time.  It was one of the first movies I saw in theaters.  My Dad was a SF Geek, so I'd already seen the Star Wars movie(s?) & was familliar with StarTrek, so the whole "Darth Vader/Vulcan" reference totally solidified this as the BEST MOVIE EVER!!!

It's the 30th anniversary of the movie.   I don't know whether to feel old or vindicated that it's still a "thing" dacades later.  :)  So for the point of the post,  did you see it when you were a kid?  How old?  What did you think?  Is it as awesome now as it was to kids years ago?  Are you going to show your kids?
