I don't mean to sound all food snobby.. But why anyone would pay for prepared pesto is beyond me.
Is it really that easy to make it yourself? Please share some tips.
Super easy. Basil + toasted pine nuts (or walnuts), olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper. When I have it, good parmesan. Sometimes I'm not so lucky, so I don't add it. Add to food processor. Process. Have also made with 1/2 basil, half parsley with awesome results (different taste, but awesome results)
You'd make Martha Stewart proud. I have to admit that it doesn't sound too hard, but by the time I found all the ingredients it would be cheaper just to buy it at Costco. Thank you for being so nice to share how to make, though! See, some people on DCUM really are nice!! Jeff would be proud.
