Super easy. Basil + toasted pine nuts (or walnuts), olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper. When I have it, good parmesan. Sometimes I'm not so lucky, so I don't add it.
Add to food processor. Process.
Have also made with 1/2 basil, half parsley with awesome results (different taste, but awesome results)
I wouldn't consider it true pesto without th echeese
