The current facility is 2 stories.  My son was always upstairs.  I found the 3 and 4 year old rooms to be very large, well organized, and full of light.  There were lots of centers and only some centers were open at any given time.  It helped with the amount of choices and chaos.  I also liked how the teacher limited the number of children at each center.  10 children could not play with the blocks for example.

I liked that the food was provided.  I just sent in a blanket and a change of clothes.

When my son left, they presented me with a portfolio of all of his work.  It was in a binder so not just a handful of papers.  You could see the progression of fine motor skills--letters, coloring went from scribbles to coloring in the lines, to making his own pictures.  You could see the development of his self portrait from a big circle to a circle with sticks to a circle with sticks, eyes, nose, and mouth etc.  I think all preschools do this but I really liked how it was packaged so that I could easily see the progression and it was all on 8x11 paper!!!!  The binder is in my office bookshelf.  The loose papers he currently brings home from K just get tossed.

The playground is really nice and they go outside most days.  I got emails to remember to bring boots and gloves.

If they offered older kid after care, I would not hesitate to send my children there.[/quote]
