I'm a SAHM who's decided to go back to work part-time after being home for 5 years. I recently applied for work through a temp agency doing clerical work in the type of field I worked in for 10 years prior to staying home. Mind you, I was a CPA but decided to do clerical work in a financial institution instead of taking on the more serious task of having to worry about numbers. It gives me something to do, an outlet now that the kids are all in school full-time.

The agency referred me to a company. I met with the key players in the company's office, filled out my preliminary paperwork, etc. I just listened to a voice mail from the Director of HR of said corporation. She wants me to come in for a meeting. WHY? The message was left yesterday so I can't call her back and ask what's up. I'll do that on Monday.

In the meantime, can anyone think of a reason she'd want to meet with me over menial work that I haven't even started yet? Start date is in two weeks? I've been out of the rat race for a few years and I'm not sure if this is the norm now.
