[/quote] No, but I do think that advertising "cage free" or "Free roaming" is a way to try to cash in on people's ignorance. Just because a nasty chicken house has no cages to keep chickens individually confined (and therefore is cage free) does not mean it's a better egg. The jens are still likely living in the dark, fed only on likely suspect-quality grain feed, and producing less nutritious eggs. But it's got a buzzword on the label, so you pay a premium. Same thing to a slightly lesser degree even for "organic" eggs. [/quote]
