I do not live within the boundary of the AAP ES my older child got accepted into. I have another child who is in a lower grade at the base school. The FCPS Transfer office has said that the AAP center will not accept siblings of kids who are accepted at the AAP ES as it is already over enrolled. Is anyone in a similar situation ? What did you do? Please respond
People all over the county are in this situation. I kids at two elementaries -- base school and AAP, and no of another mom who had kids for a year at 3 elementaries -- yes, three separate AAP centers, Louise Archer, Westbriar and Colvin Run. As other PP have noted, be happy you have a choice, but remember it is a choice. If you want to have all your kids at the same school for convenience sake, you are going to have to make a sacrifice somewhere. AAP centers are also base schools for some and not designed to hold siblings of AAP kids.
