Don't feel sorry for the current parents. The children are thriving despite the changes and the head of the school seems committed to charging in the right direction for longevity. Looking at other threads on this board, it is apparent that lots of charter schools experience change like this until they really get settled anyways.
Really, lots of charters have the administration suddenly fired in one year and then have the new principal leave in the middle of another year, while having told people they were going to be in three different locations in the matter of a month? I don't think so. Shining Stars is uniquely mismanaged.
+1, though I am really glad to hear that the students are thriving despite more upheaval. Can anyone from the school comment as to WHY the principal is leaving with so little notice? Last year, it was a board decision that was the end result of weeks of deliberation and processing. Who was driving this change and how has the school communicated its plans for the transition?
The executive director remains, and the school is under her leadership. She replaced the ED who was removed by the board last year. The principal was hired by the ED and started this year.
