Really, lots of charters have the administration suddenly fired in one year and then have the new principal leave in the middle of another year, while having told people they were going to be in three different locations in the matter of a month? I don't think so. Shining Stars is uniquely mismanaged.

+1, though I am really glad to hear that the students are thriving despite more upheaval. Can anyone from the school comment as to WHY the principal is leaving with so little notice? Last year, it was a board decision that was the end result of weeks of deliberation and processing. Who was driving this change and how has the school communicated its plans for the transition?

The executive director remains, and the school is under her leadership. She replaced the ED who was removed by the board last year. The principal was hired by the ED and started this year.

I am sorry for the current parents. What a roller coaster of uncertainty between leadership changes and location moves.

Yes, the director of teaching and learning is also the principal. She started with SSMA at the start of this school year. I hear this week is her last.

Did they have a principal? Thought the title was a Director of Teaching and Learning?

Didn't another school's founder leave at the beginning of the school year? How are they doing?

I think she's leaving now and not going to wait until the end of the school year. Seems like there will be more challenges and changes for SSMA.

Is she leaving right away, or did she just announce that she is leaving at the end of the school year?

Does anyone know why?
