The scene with Edith taking Marigold from the Drewes was heartbreaking.  I feel horribly for both of them, particularly Mrs. Drewe.  But, this is the first time that Edith has actually taken control of the situation and done what SHE wanted to do all along.  I do hope that she finds happiness living in a new city with her daughter.  I understand her statement to Tom that she can't be happy at Downton, she of anyone in that family needed to get away.  That place is just oppressive for her.  Maybe she'll start actively running the publishing company and establish herself as a businesswoman!

I'm still holding out hope that Isobel isn't saying yes to Lord Merton.  Unless I missed it, she never actually came out and said yes.  She made some comment about her last chance for a grand adventure - perhaps she's going to go off and do something else entirely??  Probably wishful thinking...

Mary is such a snot, trying to keep both Charles and Lord G fawning over her even though she doesn't actually want either of them.  She just likes to be pursued.

I'm happy that Anna and Mr. Bates are finally being open with each other.  I can't remember what actually happened to the ticket, though - did Mrs. Hughes throw it away?  Or did she give it to Mary??

Sweet scene between Lady Grantham and her Russian lover.  Wonder what will happen if the Princess is found ... or if it's confirmed that she did not survive.........[/quote]
