I confess I was too chicken to do it myself and made DH do it. I know my mom is always finding mistakes on the grocery store receipts where she has been overcharged and she brings it to their attention.  She actually told me to try washing the meat off and thought it was because it was in the packaging too long, and how her parents would let meat sit out and age. I wouldn't have tried that because it just seems gross but [b]I wonder if they will cut off the bad part and try to resell it in smaller pieces. [/b]Shudder.[/quote]

The butcher at Giant recommended a completely wrong cut of meat for me once.  I knew I wouldn't use it so I brought it back, still in the vacuum sealed package.  They took it back no questions asked and I asked if they would put it back on the shelf and they said they were unable to sell or use any returned food.  [/quote]
