NP here. Technically, PP is right. An annulment means it's as if the marriage didn't happen, which means those children become children born out of wedlock. The church may not punish them for that (I should certainly hope they wouldn't), but that doesn't mean they're not children born out of wedlock. If this isn't an acceptable outcome, perhaps the church should rethink the lunacy of allowing annulments of long-term marriages that produced children.[/quote]
