I'm about to change dog food because I'm not satisfied with blue buffalo freedom for my dog. She's always scratching at her ears and chewing on her paws. I thought this was supposed to help with that, but after nearly three years, it's time for something new. She was on a different grain free brand before we switched her to blue buffalo, but that food wasn't any good either.

For treats I give her chicken or duck jerky, and really just about any kind I see in the store. I buy made in the USA treats.

For people food I feed her plain nonfat Greek yogurt, eggs, green beans, apple slices and meat if we have it. If it's a holiday, she gets a small plate of whatever we are eating and on her birthday I cook a small piece of boneless skinless chicken for her.

My dog is very healthy and has never been overweight. She has been 12 pounds since she reached her adult size. She gets weighed every time we are at the vet. I'm just curious what others are feeding their dogs and if they are satisfied or would even recommend a good premium dog food. Obviously it doesn't cost much to feed a 12 lb dog, so the cost of the food isn't a big deal. A small breed formula is fine or just a standard adult dog food. I've looked on dog food advisor website, but I'm interested in personal experiences if anyone cares to share. Good or bad so I know what to avoid as well.[/quote]
