Both places also quoted around 5,500 to sand all the hardwood floors and re-finish. We don't have tons of money and our priority is removing wall paper and painting (just spent 4,500), new kitchen floor (tile). We are thinking of just putting carpet again and then when we have more money in a few years put in hardwood and re-finish all the floors.  What is a good carpet to get for just the master bedroom that is reasonable? We have a 5 and 8 year old who actually like rolling around on carpet and doing gymnastics. Anyone have and pros/cons they would like to share of having carpet vs. hardwood for the master? [/quote]
