That is a very cutting and inappropriate remark meant to embarrass your child in front of her peers. I remember a couple of teachers like that - harsh people who clearly didn't like kids and considered it their job (and pleasure) to diminish them. I would definitely address this with the school. It was barely a step away from publicly calling her an attention whore. [/quote]
