I do think that many older kids/teens struggle with coming to terms with the fact that they need supports, accommodations or modifications, and can engage in magical thinking that if the accommodations go away, so will the condition that makes them necessary. Can you make an appointment to talk with the therapist about it without your DC present? He might have ideas. [/quote]
