Rank of difficulty median composite median SAT verbal and math / acceptance rates Michigan 2700. 40.1 UMD 2580 44.8 Minn 2580 46.6 Wisconsin 2560. 66.1 Ohio state 2500 63.3 VT 2420 66.5 Rutgers 2390 61.1 Penn state 2390 63.1 Purdue 2340 68.4 Indiana 2330 72.3
What does "rank of difficulty median composite median SAT verbal and math" mean. The numbers range from 2330-2700- This has no correlation to SAT scores.
+1. The highest possible SAT score is 2400 (math + verbal + essay). DC's friend got into Michigan (great school!) with SATs of 2100. Michigan's acceptance rate is something like 32%, not 40%. Nor can you say something like, 40% of students admitted to Michigan have SATs of 2700, because nobody can get SATs of 2700. So I don't get these figures.
It is the addition of high/low range of median entrance scores math and verbal. 4 numbers.
Ohhhh. Ok I get it. I wasn't aware of Minnesota being so selective . Interesting !
