Both replied with really nice messages, but the hiring manager did not respond.

They did mention at lunch that things were busy bc the hiring manager is on vacation all this week.

so does that mean I have wait another 10 days to hear anything?  I mean if someone is on vacation, they can't and likely won't keep the hiring process moving, right?
I shouldn't have expected a reply back from the thank you to the hiring manager, right?
