My grandmother who is in her early sixties has been texting me out of the blue for the past two years hurling insults. We do not speak regularly or hardly ever when I see her at family functions she does not try to initiate conversation. This past Tuesday on my way to work I received three pages of text from her calling me a " nasty twit, saying I look anorexic and couldn't swat a fly, talked about my mother for having two different fathers of her children (my mother is her daughter) the list goes on. I am fucking sick of it. In the past when she does this I will ignore it and if i do reply would say I am not initiating an argument over text messages and she is free to call if she has needs to talk. The one time she said something to me was in December when she approached me on Christmas and asked me to find her wrapping I obliged and wrapped the whole gift for her. SHe then came back to the location I was in and said she was upset over a non related commented I had made. "I said okay grandmother lets be adults " She then began to mimic me in front of my face. MY GRANDMOTHER! She says she texts me because I need a reality check and its her job to do this. THis past time I messed up and went back and forth with her which I can tell she loved and got her off. Today I blocked her and changed my number. Her actions disgust me she does this to my other two girl cousins as well she will say they look like drag queens, are ignorant, etc. I truly think she has mental issues two of her six children. How can I get this woman out of my life and how do i continue to act dignified at family events when I am past my limit?
