Then they each had lengthy third marriages (20 years each; her longterm husband adopted and raised her three kids; he and his 3rd wife had three kids plus he adopted and raised her two boys from her previous marriage.)...Okay, so they go into this new marriage with high hopes and expectations that this is it - that they are finally going to get it right this time AND it fell apart after less than two years.  Too much baggage.  Way too much.  There were too many kids and stepkids and grandkids and exes etc.  Plus they each clearly had deep seated problems even though to outsiders, they are happy, nice, goodlooking, professional people.
I say - move along to someone without so much baggage or you will end up in the middle of a lot of drama.[/quote]
