We had a terrible experience at Rubinoff, so just one to avoid. National Speech offers group therapy. Even if a kid doesn't have a speech delay he/she might have issues accessing the right words/behavior when they're excited/upset. We've done individual therapy there and had a good experience. I've also heard good things about Alvord Baker. You'll also get more suggestions off the Special Needs forum.
Your bad experience with Laura Rubinoff only means YOU had a bad experience. I'm glad you were able to find a social skills class more suitable to your child's needs (and yours). We have had a fabulous experience with her group (and not so great experience with others). So, OP, you see, it really depends on personalities of the group, your child and yourself. Honestly, I would sample a few of the groups who offer social skills as they all operate slightly differently. One may suit your needs over another.
