2014 graduate Garrett Pearson was drafted in the 34th Round by the Baltimore Orioles.

Pearson, a VCU commit, was an Honorable Mention All WCAC Selection and finished with an overall record of 7-2 and 4 saves. He accumulated 31 Appearances, 11 Starts, 72 Innings Pitched, 99 Strikeouts and a 2.43 ERA.

He becomes the 15th Cadet since 2007 to be drafted or sign a free agent contract.

Bobby Boyd '11 selected by Astros on Day 2

2011 Graduate Bobby Boyd was selected in the 8th Round (226th Overall) by the Houston Astros out of West Virginia University.

At St. John's Boyd was a three year starter at 2B and in the Outfield.  He was a three time 1st Team All WCAC Selection and a 2nd Team Washington Post All Met Selection. Boyd has had a steller career as a 3 year starter at WVU.
