You just mix it with vinegar, sugar, a little garlic, and sesame oil to make the sauce the way you like it. Premade sauces are not very good. If you're going to the trouble of making bibimbap at home, why wouldn't you be mixing up the sauce, too? Maybe I read OP wrong and she's just making it as a one-off and doesn't do much Korean cooking at all, but I would way rather have gochujang at home than premade sauce, so I could make banchan for the bibimbap and other dishes, as well.[/quote]
