So, for example (not necessarily my favorites or anything) here is an "adult" white bedroom:

And here would be "little girl" furniture:

The little girl furniture is more "cutesy" I guess?  But if I got adult furniture, I would not get white, because I'm not really a huge fan of white furniture for adults.  The other issue is kids' furniture is typically full size beds, whereas I would prefer queen.  I'm planning on getting high quality pieces either way, and while I was originally all set on getting a little girls set, the more I thought about it, the more sense it made to get something that could just stay with us forever.[/quote]
