Had a yummy Seyval Blanc at Barrel Oak this past weekend. My standby is Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc. Oyster Bay's is also good.
I love the Kim Crawford Sauvignon blanc but we went to BOW a couple weeks ago and I was surprisingly not a fan of the seyval blanc! It didn't taste bad, it just lacked any kind of zip (to me). I found their signature white WAY too sweet. A vinho verde from Portugal will be light and crisp and you almost cannot go wrong with a Sauvignon blanc from New Zealand. They are almost all good, across the board, especially the Marlborough varietals. My "house wine" is Barboursville Pinot Grigio. The 2012 was delicious but stores are now carrying the 2013 and while it's still good I thought the 2012 was better. So it goes!
