Yknow, Pinot Gris is a really underrated white as well. I like Firesteed.

Gruner Veltliner from Austria is a nice easy to drink white. Otherwise, I never tire of sauv blanc, either from Oregon or NZ.

There's a white truck blend (sub $10 @ safeway) that is nice. A touch of fruit without that pucker that you can get from sauvignon blanc.

Oh I like it too, but I can see how some big wine drinkers don't. I do like it but it almost never occurs to me to buy it. I'm much more likely to grab a New Zealand Sauvignon blanc, which are nearly all good and also inexpensive.

I love the Kim Crawford Sauvignon blanc but we went to BOW a couple weeks ago and I was surprisingly not a fan of the seyval blanc! It didn't taste bad, it just lacked any kind of zip (to me). I found their signature white WAY too sweet.

A vinho verde from Portugal will be light and crisp and you almost cannot go wrong with a Sauvignon blanc from New Zealand. They are almost all good, across the board, especially the Marlborough varietals.

My "house wine" is Barboursville Pinot Grigio. The 2012 was delicious but stores are now carrying the 2013 and while it's still good I thought the 2012 was better. So it goes!

I have been drinking Sauv Blancs from New Zealand. I am not a big white wine drinker but have been able to tolerate these on hot days.

Not a wine recommendation, but there is a berry sangria recipe on epicurious.com that calls for a dry rosé and is wonderful.

There is no spring in DC, we go straight from frozen to swamp.

I have been drinking gruener veltliner.

But on the Rose front, Marques de Caceres - Rose Rioja is inoffensive, and at 8 bucks on sale at Rodmans, not bad.
