That has got to be so bad for your body. I see actors who gain or lose large amounts of weight in a short period of time for a role. Their metabolisms must be so messed up.
Tom Hanks attributes his recent Type 2 Diabetes diagnosis to the rapid gain/lose cycle he did for a lot of his films. Rapid, drastic changes to your body can do very harmful things to it - even if it's stuff like "gain muscle" or "lose fat."
Yo-yo dieting is the worst for everyone. Ruins your skin, your metabolism, is hard on your organs. Whether you choose to be big and musuclar or thin...just maintain and don't do drastic ups and downs.
It really is. I dropped 25 pounds REALLY quickly after I stopped breastfeeding (I guess my body was just hanging onto it and let it all go fast when reserves were no longer needed) and it was hell on my skin and hair. I'm only 32 but aged so much so fast from that weight loss, even if I'm at a healthy weight now for my frame. :( Not a fan of the transformation for Bradley Cooper. The muscle looks really unnatural on him.
