I was surprised to hear that when an elementary student fell and hurt his/herself at a weekend school function, the Principal did not take the time to check on the student. He/she was standing about 10 feet away from the student for quite some time and knew there had been an injury. What's the point of being the Principal of a "great" school if you don't show that you care?
Fell as in "ouch", with a bruise or a scrape? Or fell and broke an arm? There's a huge difference. I think in general it would be nice for a principal to check into a kid who fell down went boom in his close vicinity, but I certainly don't think it is imperative assuming he/she is busy and there are other adults also supervising.
