You gained no muscle this week. It drives me crazy when people say 'muscle weighs more than fat." You're not a weightlifter! Going to the gym for five days will do very, very little for your weight. What are you eating every day? Look at your food intake and you'll find your answer. You feel better when you work out so keep doing it. Just don't think it's any kind of magic for weight loss - it simply is it.
Me too! Gaining muscle is hard work! I'd love it when this over used reasoning for weight gain goes away. OP one week doesn't mean anything. I fluctuate up to 5 lbs daily. Work out because you like to be healthy and reap the benefits. By the way, I started lifiting weights and working out intensely when I was 230lbs and GAINED 5 pounds almost right away so i know how you feel. I couldn't understand how I was so big and not dropping it easily, but I kept at it. 6 months later I was down 60lbs and I have a great set of arms, abs, and quads. More importantly I'm really fit. That's more important to me than what I weight anyway. Just keep at it.
Thanks! I will keep at it. It's took everything for me to not go to the gym today. That slight soreness after a workout feels soooo good because you know you've done something good for your body. BUT my muscles also need to relax so I'm forcing this break today . Tomorrow I will be back at it !
