[/quote]My plumber who works for a major company and does "side" work told me last week that he is now ready to break off and start his own 'one man' enterprise.  Amassing tons of side work and referrals, he's ready.  And I KNOW he makes far more than I do with my fancy-schmancy degree.

My mechanic has a shop in D.C. that is always packed.  If you don't get there by 7:30a to get in line, you can forget it unless you made an appointment in advance.

I know my plumber and mechanic get the last laugh when they're looked down on because they don't have the fancy degree. [/quote]
