The bubble happened so fast.  In the blink of an eye the studio that I rented on 13th and mass for $450 in 1998 is now $2300.  Salaries are slowly catching up in certain industries...but not the tourism industry.  If I can make $100K in Florida and be at a lower level than I am here...There is something wrong with DC. Why do you need to live in DC proper? Have you looked at the suburbs? Tourism industry is very volatile and the first to tank during a recession or economic issue. [/quote]
